Закон о ратификации договора об углублении и расширении союзнических отношений, подписанного 19 апреля 2024 году в Астане, одобрил казахстанский сенат.
Страны расширяют сотрудничество в целом ряде стран: политической, военной, торгово-экономической, а также в инвестициях, логистике и энергетике.
В 2026 году на границе с Кыргызстаном будет запущен крупный транспортно-логистический хаб у КПП "Карасу" и "Ак-Тилек", а к 2030 году товарооборот между странами должен достичь $3 млрд.
В Кыргызстане договор одобрили в декабре 2024 года.
