However, the perpetrators of such frauds are now adopting new methods and technologies to defraud the investors. The last couple days have exemplified that uncertainty. Interested investors will be asked to directly message the representatives to begin investing in the various investment packages offered. Stocks closed in the red Friday as investors weighed upbeat remarks from Russian President Vladimir Putin about diplomatic discussions with Ukraine against a weaker-than-expected print on U.S. consumer sentiment. On Feb. 27, however, he admitted from his Russian-language account that "Telegram channels are increasingly becoming a source of unverified information related to Ukrainian events."
