❄️ Native Scandinavians in Sweden celebrating Julblot and Midvinterblot at full moon. Today on January 13th this year, the first full moon after the new moon of the Winter Solstice occur here in Scandinavia. This is one of the most important dates in our pre-Christian culture, and according to our Old Norse calendar the original celebration of Jul/Yule takes place today together with Juólblót/Midvinterblot – as the dates changes annually according to the full moon. Jul is a very old Scandinavian tradition that has its roots in the old Germanic Winter Solstice celebrations and Midwinterblót.

This has been my favourite goddess to create to date.
Spring is absolutely my favourite time of year and Êostre obviously embodies it.
I carved her as Spring was blooming around me a few months back and finished her just in time for a rite at the Spring Equinox.

Paganism encourages men to be maximally masculine.

Paganism brings these same men and women together to form strong cohesive families.

In other words, the division within communities, the breaking apart of the family, the distrust between the sexes and the lack of fulfilling one's potential within are all solved by coming back home.

It is devotion to Gods and Goddesses that forged cultures that inspire us still today. That same devotion, if revived, will do the same again. Let us act this year, and make our Ancestors proud. For you too one day will be an Ancestor, will your name stand out from the crowd?

According to this mistaken post, "one of the oldest rune poems says, Odin = "war-chief" Jupiter." 😂
• The claim only appears once, in all skaldic poetry, in The Arnamagnæan Collection.
• This "oldest rune poem" is speculated to be from 1500, 500 years after conversion, 230 years after the Poetic Edda was written. Thus the claim of "oldest" made by the likes of pie perennialist Curwen Rolinson, is false and obscurantist.
• This collection was compiled and the claim of authenticity made by one Árni Magnússon in the 18th century, who bequeathed his collection to the University of Copenhagen after his death in 1730.
• The text shows foul-play by using improper Latin for the title of Jupiter, as noted by chad, trying to make it sound older than it is. Akin to Joseph Smith of Mormonism in the 19th century "translating" texts in 17th century Shakespearian english to fraudulently imply authority via antiquity.

There is something to be said about sunrise, the golden amber and crimson hues that paint the sky at it's greeting. It gives us life, warmth and light. Everyday, without fail, it returns again from the darkness and cold of night.
On this channel we have talked about emulation being the highest form of veneration one can give. It shows how much we admire, that which we wish to copy in action.
