محمدرضا شجریان (آواز و موسیقی)

استاد محمدرضا شجریان (۱ مهر ۱۳۱۹ - ۱۷ مهر ۱۳۹۹) موسیقی‌دان، استاد آواز و خوانندهٔ موسیقی سنتی ایرانی بود.

او در میان دوستداران خود با عنوان «استاد آواز ایران» و «خسروِ آواز ایران» شناخته می‌شود. بسیاری از مردم ایران او را مهم‌ترین چهرهٔ موسیقی ایرانی و یکی از نمادهای مهم فرهنگ و موسیقی ایران‌زمین می‌دانند. شجریان از آوازه‌ای بین‌المللی نیز برخوردار است.

وی، در ۱۷ مهر ۱۳۹۹ به‌علت ابتلا به بیماری سرطان از دنیا رفت. پیکر او در شهر توس و در کنار مقبرهٔ «فردوسی» شاعر بزرگ ایران به خاک سپرده شده است.
