Депутат думы ХМАО Петр Созонов, возглавляющий компанию «Газпром трансгаз Югорск», на ветке магистрального газопровода которой произошел взрыв, пообещал компенсацию семье погибшего сотрудника и всем пострадавшим. Он подтвердил, что ветка газопровода действующая, но была выведена из эксплуатации для текущих работ, в ходе которого и произошла авария.
