President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, National Security Advisor, Commander of the Royal Guard of the Kingdom of Bahrain Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Ding Xuexiang, and Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa Paul Mashatile also attended the session.

💬 Despite a challenging international landscape, Russia’s GDP has been demonstrating an annual growth rate of over four percent over the past two years, which is above the global average.
• Commodities no longer play a defining role in Russia’s economic growth patterns. In 2023, Russia’s non-oil-and-gas GDP increased by 7.2 percent, followed by an additional 4.9 percent in 2024. These are solid figures exceeding the overall GDP growth rates.
• Our strategic vector is precisely to actively and consistently transform the structure of the national economy, step by step. We have achieved a great deal in this area, but it is clear that moving forward is critically important, especially in light of the dramatic changes taking place in the world.
• Annual inflation has already dropped to single-digit levels below ten percent. As of June 16, it stood at 9.6 percent. Of course, that is still high, but inflation targeting continues.
• Over the past four years, employment in Russia has grown by 2.4 million people. Since October last year, the national unemployment rate has stabilised at around 2.3 percent, reaching a historic low.
• In terms of youth unemployment, Russia ranks among the best globally, with a rate of approximately seven and a half percent.
For comparison, youth unemployment stands at around 16 percent in France and 11 percent in the United Kingdom.
• Russia’s economy must become more technologically advanced. We must fully unleash a new phase of the country’s technological development. The key instrument in this regard should be the national projects aimed at securing technological leadership.

⚡️ Совместное заявление БРИКС в связи с эскалацией ситуации в сфере безопасности на Ближнем Востоке вследствие военных ударов по территории Исламской Республики Иран (24 июня 2025 года)

📃 Выражаем серьёзную озабоченность в связи с военными ударами по территории Исламской Республики Иран в период с 13 июня 2025 года, нанесёнными в нарушение международного права и Устава ООН, а также в связи с последовавшим за ними обострением ситуации в сфере безопасности на Ближнем Востоке.
На фоне растущей напряжённости, чреватой непредсказуемыми последствиями как для международного мира и безопасности, так и для мировой экономики, мы подчёркиваем настоятельную необходимость разорвать круг насилия и восстановить мир.
Мы призываем все стороны к налаживанию взаимодействия посредством существующих каналов диалога и дипломатии с целью деэскалации ситуации и урегулирования разногласий мирными средствами.
☝️ Мы выражаем серьёзную обеспокоенность по поводу любых атак против мирных ядерных объектов, которые осуществляются в нарушение международного права и соответствующих резолюций Международного агентства по атомной энергии.
Ядерные гарантии, защищённость и безопасность ядерных объектов должны неукоснительно обеспечиваться, в том числе во время вооружённых конфликтов, в целях защиты людей и окружающей среды от ущерба. В этом контексте мы вновь заявляем о поддержке дипломатических инициатив, направленных на решение региональных проблем.
Жизни гражданского населения должны быть защищены, а гражданская инфраструктура — сохранена в полном соответствии с нормами международного гуманитарного права. Мы выражаем искренние соболезнования семьям погибших и солидарность с пострадавшими мирными гражданами.
Руководствуясь принципами, закрепленными в Уставе ООН, #БРИКС сохраняет приверженность укреплению международного мира и безопасности, а также поощрению дипломатии и мирного диалога как единственного устойчивого пути к обеспечению долгосрочной стабильности в регионе. В этой связи мы также подтверждаем необходимость создания на Ближнем Востоке зоны, свободной от ядерного оружия и других видов оружия массового уничтожения, в русле соответствующих международных резолюций.
❗️ Мы призываем международное сообщество оказать поддержку и содействие процессам диалога, соблюдению международного права и внести конструктивный вклад в урегулирование разногласий мирными средствами на благо всего человечества.
Страны БРИКС продолжат внимательно следить за развитием ситуации.

⚡️ BRICS Joint Statement on the Escalation of the Security Situation in the Middle East Following the Military Strikes on the Territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran (June 24, 2025)
📃 We express grave concern over the military strikes against the Islamic Republic of Iran since 13 June 2025, which constitute a violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and the subsequent escalation of the security situation in the Middle East.
In the face of rising tensions with unpredictable consequences for international peace and security, as well as for the world economy, we underscore the urgent need to break the cycle of violence and restore peace.
We call on all parties to engage through existing channels of dialogue and diplomacy, with a view to de-escalating the situation and resolving their differences through peaceful means.
☝️ We express serious concern over any attacks against peaceful nuclear installations, which are carried out in violation of international law and relevant resolutions of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Nuclear safeguards, safety and security must always be upheld, including in armed conflicts, to protect people and environment from harm. In this context, we reiterate our support for diplomatic initiatives aimed at addressing regional challenges.
Civilian lives must be protected, and civilian infrastructure must be safeguarded, in full compliance with international humanitarian law. We extend our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and express our solidarity with civilians affected.
Guided by the principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter, #BRICS remains committed to promoting international peace and security and to fostering diplomacy and peaceful dialogue as the only sustainable path toward long-term stability in the region. In this regard, we also reaffirm the necessity of establishing a zone free of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East, in line with relevant international resolutions.
❗️ We call upon the international community to support and facilitate dialogue processes, uphold international law, and contribute constructively to peaceful settlements of disputes for the benefit of all humanity.
BRICS countries will remain seized of the matter.
