Европейские союзники инвестировали сотни миллиардов долларов в оборонную промышленность США. Об этом заявил генеральный секретарь НАТО Марк Рютте в интервью немецкому информационному агентству DPA.
По его словам, эта сумма может значительно увеличиться, если оборонная промышленность США не будет нуждаться в одобрении Конгресса, Пентагона и Белого дома.
В частности, он указал на повышенный спрос страны Европы на системы ПРО Patriot. «Они стоят 2 миллиарда евро каждая. Так что это очень большие деньги для экономики США»,-отметил он.
Рютте выразил мнение, что избранный президент США Дональд Трамп усилит давление на европейских союзников с низкими расходами на оборону.
