Она закончилась бы так или иначе просто потому что закончилась сама эпоха в которую такое образование как Российская Империя могло быть органичной частью европейского мира.
Начиная с XXв доминирующая логика развития западной цивилизации была основана на принципах которые невозможно было воплотить в это время в России.
Модернизационный проект большевиков получил развитие именно потому что модернизация европейского типа была здесь невозможна, для неё не сформировалась социальная база.
