Мы прибыли на мыс Зелёный - одно из самых живописных мест Камчатки, полностью покрытое яркой сочной зеленью. От высоты кружится голова, от видов захватывает дух.

На самом краю мыса стоит маяк, со смотровой площадки которого открывается невероятный вид на Вилючинскую бухту и бескрайний Тихий океан. В хорошую погоду показывается и Вилючинский вулкан, а если повезёт, и у него будет настроение - он может показать себя и полностью.

Завораживает. Хочется остаться и сидеть, всматриваясь в волны. Всматриваться, кстати, стоит, потому что в это место любят заплывать косатки, нерпы и краснокнижные каланы. Но особенно Зелёный интересен тем, что летом на его берегу разбивают лагерь наши морские биологи FEROP (проект по изучению косаток на Дальнем Востоке России), о которых я уже неоднократно писала. Каждый день настороже, высматривая плавники, несмотря на непогоду и волны, они отправляются наблюдать за новоприбывшими и за уже знакомыми и даже уже ставшими родными семьями косаток.

Осенью мыс, кстати, перестаёт быть зелёным и превращается в ярко-рыжий - очень хочу это увидеть ☀️

Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis." Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders. Telegram boasts 500 million users, who share information individually and in groups in relative security. But Telegram's use as a one-way broadcast channel — which followers can join but not reply to — means content from inauthentic accounts can easily reach large, captive and eager audiences.
