Решение было принято на XIII Конференции министров культуры исламского мира в Джидде. Столица Татарстана получит право на проведение конференции министров культуры стран ICESCO в 2026 году. Среди других мероприятий, которые заявлены на проведение в Казани – Фестиваль современной мусульманской культуры и Молодежный культурный лагерь.

هذا القرار تم اتخاذه في جدة من قبل وزراء ثقافة دول منظمة التعاون الإسلامي. ستحصل عاصمة تتارستان على حق استضافة مؤتمر وزراء الثقافة لدول منظمة العالم الإسلامي للتربية والعلوم والثقافة عام 2026. ومن بين الفعاليات الأخرى التي أُعلن عن إقامتها في قازان مهرجان الثقافة الإسلامية المعاصرة ومخيم ثقافي للشباب.
