در شرح این نقشه در پیام‌های تازه‌ی تلگرامی، با کپی‌برداری از مطالب نادرستی که دست کم از سال ۲۰۱۴ در وبلاگ‌های فارسی بوده است، چنین نوشته شده:

«این نقشه‌ی ایرانی، مادر همه‌ی نقشه‌های جهان‌نمای اروپایی، عثمانی و چینی است که توسط حمدالله مستوفى در قرن ٨ ترسیم شده است.
در این نقشه قاره‌ی آمریکا دیده می‌شود اما حدود ۱۰۰ سال قبل از کشف آن توسط كريستف كلمب!!»

در وب، در کنار این نقشه ادعای جالب دیگری هم هست که هنوز به دست کانال‌های زرد تلگرام نرسیده: «سرخپوستان آمریکا ایرانیانی هستند که به آمریکا مهاجرت کرده‌اند!»
