Всего заявились 4 претендента. Речь идёт о следующих выдвиженцах: Мария Беломестных от эсеров, Яна Карпова от КПРФ, Владимир Марущенко от ЛДПР и самовыдвиженец Георгий Бураков. Последнему придётся собирать подписи избирателей, чтобы его зарегистрировали.
Однако в числе соискателей мэрского кресла в Тофаларском сельском поселении кандидата "Единой России" не оказалось. С чем связан такой отказ партии власти пока неизвестно.
