Он сообщил, что сейчас 2 инновационных катамарана «Сарма» и «Селенга» проходят первые ходовые испытания, которые продолжатся в 2025 г., а в 2026 г. они приступят к выполнению пассажирских перевозок по маршруту Иркутск – Северобайкальск – Иркутск.
Каждый из катамаранов способен развить скорость до 65 км в час и может взять на борт 148 пассажиров. Время в пути в 1 сторону составит 10 -11 часов.
