Анашкин закончил Рязанское высшее воздушно-десантное командное училище в 1993-м. С сентября 2021 года по январь 2022 года служил командующим воинским формированием ВС РФ в Нагорном Карабахе. С 15 мая этого года — стал врио командующего войсками Южного военного округа.
