Игорь Кобзев отметил, что 2024 символичен для наших стран – это год 75-летия установления дипломатических отношений между Россией и КНР. Кроме того, у региона действуют соглашения с несколькими китайскими провинциями. Еще одним направлением сотрудничества региона с КНР является взаимодействие в сфере образования.
Визит высоко оценили и эксперты. Политолог Максим Жаров отметил, что «отношения между Иркутской областью и Китаем можно смело оценить как отношения всеобъемлющего партнерства и стратегического взаимодействия. Межрегиональное взаимодействие между субъектами обеих стран имеет большое значение для достижения задач, поставленных Президентом России и Председателем Си Цзиньпином».
