Но Leila Gobi, певица/гитаристка из Менака (регион Гао), внезапно оказалась очень даже на мой вкус (музыкальный, конечно). Репетитивность у неё тоже присутствует — как отличительная черта местной музыкальной традиции. Но какая-то приятная, что ли. Вероятно, благодаря действительно выдающемуся вокалу, местами довольно изобретательным гитарным риффам, к которым прилагается мощная ритм-секция.
Пишут, что происходит из смешанной туарегско-фульбско-сонгайской семьи. Поёт на всех соответствующих языках плюс иногда на бамбара и французском.
