Я обожнюю, як виглядає Atari 2600. Логотип компанії — ідеальний, а більшість ілюстрацій на картриджах для цієї системи — це взагалі мистецтво.

Але грати в Atari 2600 зараз майже неможливо. Ігри з ранніх 80-х не проходять перевірку часом, навіть на мою думку — людини, яка обожнює допотопні розваги. Здається, сучасний мозок просто не здатен уявити, наскільки вражаючим було відчуття, що більше не треба стояти в черзі в аркадному залі, щоб пограти в Pac-Man, бо той самий (майже) Пекмен тепер у тебе вдома!

Проте розглядати ці ігри в історичному контексті все ще цікаво. Та й про саму Atari є що почитати. Наприклад, ви знали, що суперуспішну Spider-Man (1982) створила буквально вчорашня студентка, для якої це був перший досвід у геймдеві? І це зайняло в неї менше року!

На відміну від NES, яка досі має велику бібліотеку ігор, здатних захопити сучасного гравця, Atari 2600 — це вже ретро-артефакт. Дивний, красивий і не зовсім зрозумілий. Власне, саме таким і має бути справжній артефакт 🕹

The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice.
