این شاعر معاصر خطه آذربایجان متولد ۱۳۱۰ در مراغه و ساکن این شهر و ادامه‌دهنده سبک سنّتی و کلاسیک شعر بود؛ استاد کریمی غالباً در اشعار طنز خود رسم و رسوم زمان خود را به باد انتقاد گرفته است.
استاد میرزاحسین کریمی مراغه‌ای دارای نشان درجه یک هنری است و گواهینامه هنری درجه یک شعر آیینی کشور طی سال ۱۳۹۹ به پاس ۸۹ سال فعالیت شعری به وی اعطا شد.
اعطای این نشان هنری به پاس سرودن بیش از ۳۵۰ هزار بیت شعر اجتماعی، طنز، مداحی و مرثیه توسط این شاعر بلند آوازه آذربایجان به ایشان تعلق گرفت.

Oleksandra Matviichuk, a Kyiv-based lawyer and head of the Center for Civil Liberties, called Durov’s position "very weak," and urged concrete improvements.
