إن خلاصة الدين المسيحي لا تحب السياسة.. ولقد نصح الإنجيل بترك ما لقيصر لقيصر، وما لله لله.. لكن الإسلام لم يوص بأن يترك ما لقيصر لقيصر، وما لله لله، وإنما جعل الأمر كله لله.، وجعل سلطان قيصر مستمدًا من سلطان الشعب، وسلطان الشعب مستمدًا من سلطان الله، وجعل السياسة إذن أصلاً من أصول الدين، وركنًا من أركانه، ولم يبح لرجال الدين أن يعرضوا عن السياسة، أو يزهدوا فيها ويصرفوا أنفسهم عنها، ولا سيما حين تكون العناية بالسياسة من هذه الضرورات العامة التي تمس حياة الناس جميعًا ومرافقهم جميعًا.

Telegram was co-founded by Pavel and Nikolai Durov, the brothers who had previously created VKontakte. VK is Russia’s equivalent of Facebook, a social network used for public and private messaging, audio and video sharing as well as online gaming. In January, SimpleWeb reported that VK was Russia’s fourth most-visited website, after Yandex, YouTube and Google’s Russian-language homepage. In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. It is unclear who runs the account, although Russia's official Ministry of Foreign Affairs Twitter account promoted the Telegram channel on Saturday and claimed it was operated by "a group of experts & journalists." The fake Zelenskiy account reached 20,000 followers on Telegram before it was shut down, a remedial action that experts say is all too rare. The account, "War on Fakes," was created on February 24, the same day Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" and troops began invading Ukraine. The page is rife with disinformation, according to The Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, which studies digital extremism and published a report examining the channel.
