Наиболее жарким месяцем стал июль. 22 июля был зафиксирован самый жаркий день за всю историю наблюдений — средняя глобальная температура в тот день достигла 17,16 градусов по Цельсию.
В целом 2024 год был на 0,72 градусов по Цельсию теплее, чем средний показатель за 1991–2020 годы.
Единственный способ остановить глобальное потепление — быстро сократить выбросы парниковых газов, считают эксперты Copernicus.
