При этом в различных анкетах Казимир Малевич называл себя попеременно то поляком, то украинцем и к русскому костюму никакого отношения, очевидно, не имеет.

Я подражал всей жизни крестьян. Натирал чесноком корку хлеба, ел сало, держа пальцами, бегал босиком и не признавал ботинок. Крестьяне всегда мне казались чистыми и нарядными.
