Throwing it back to December and sharing some memories from the inaugural Wollombi Gravel Fest.
A wonderful weekend bringing the gravel community together in a very social environment and making new friends along the way.
We loved discovering the gravel roads of the quiet Wollombi Valley. Definitely a little gravel paradise that’s only 2hr drive from central Sydney.
Off the bike we were spoilt with so much local food and drinks and enjoyed sharing our signature G+T, oathgin with fevertreeaustralia tonic with everyone.
A big thank you to scrymogram + the entire myrtleandstone team for inviting and hosting us, and to everyone who came along and joined us for the inaugural event. Also, shoutout to the local community for being so welcoming.

Some people used the platform to organize ahead of the storming of the U.S. Capitol in January 2021, and last month Senator Mark Warner sent a letter to Durov urging him to curb Russian information operations on Telegram. At its heart, Telegram is little more than a messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal. But it also offers open channels that enable a single user, or a group of users, to communicate with large numbers in a method similar to a Twitter account. This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse for Telegram and its users, since these channels can be used for both good and ill. Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) had carried out a similar exercise in 2017 in a matter related to circulation of messages through WhatsApp. The picture was mixed overseas. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index fell 1.6%, under pressure from U.S. regulatory scrutiny on New York-listed Chinese companies. Stocks were more buoyant in Europe, where Frankfurt’s DAX surged 1.4%. Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications.
