یکی از معترضان می‌گوید: «زنان سوری در این سال‌ها همواره حاضر بوده‌اند، در اعتراضات خیابانی، در امدادرسانی به مجروحان، در بازداشتگاه‌ها و زندان‌ها، و حالا هم باید برای ساخت سوریه جدید حضور داشته باشه‌اند، نه به عنوان نیروهای در حاشیه و مشاور، بلکه به عنوان رهبران مسیر ساخت سوریه.»
