Участники Х съезда карелов в Петрозаводске включили в резолюцию требование наделить карельский язык статусом государственного в республике.
Как отметил канал From Karelia with freedom, с таким требованием к властям Карелии обращались участники всех предыдущих съездов. Но Карелия остается единственной национальной республикой в стране, где язык титульного народа не получил государственного статуса.
Вместо этого карельские власти в июне решили урезать число полос в газетах на карельском и финском языках, а также сделать их черно-белыми — ради экономии.

The account, "War on Fakes," was created on February 24, the same day Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" and troops began invading Ukraine. The page is rife with disinformation, according to The Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, which studies digital extremism and published a report examining the channel.
