С 19 мая введен режим чрезвычайной ситуации в лесах региона. Запрещено посещение лесов людьми, проведение работ, в том числе лесозаготовительных.
С начала лесопожарного периода в регионе выгорело 80 тыс. га леса. Одной из основных причин пожаров стал человеческий фактор. Возбуждено 16 уголовных дел.
