Клавдия Владимировна родилась 3 марта 1921 года в селе Заозерье Вологодской области. Когда началась война, она занималась оборонными работами, а затем вместе с другими студентами отправилась на уборку урожая. 17 сентября 1941 года Клавдия Захарова оказалась в оккупации.
После пережитых военных лет переехала к сестре в Коммунар, где работала бухгалтером на бумажных фабриках. На пенсию вышла в 1997 году. Общий трудовой стаж составил более 55 лет.
