Соответствующие поправки предусмотрены в законе Чеченской Республики «О внесении изменений в Конституцию ЧР», который депутаты регионального парламента единогласно приняли 9 февраля.
«Цель изменения - установить единообразие в употреблении наименования должности главы региона на чеченском языке, который является государственным языком в ЧР», - пояснили в пресс-службе республиканского заксобрания.
Ранее спикер парламента Чечни Магомед Даудов в своём телеграм-канале объяснил, что понятие «Мехк-Да» - исторически устоявшееся среди местных жителей.
По его словам, перевести это слово можно как «ответственный за свой народ руководитель».
