Летом 1950 года по приказу начальника Центрального узла связи Дальней авиации ВВС СССР (в/ч 21989) полковника Максимова Ф.И. в Ближайшее Подмосковье в село Сидоровское прибыла группа офицеров во главе с капитаном Савушкиным на рекогносцировку местности для строительства приемного радиоцентра. Приемный центр создавался с целью обеспечения связью Главнокомандующего ВВС СССР с армиями Дальней авиации.

В октябре 1950г для подготовительных работ в район с.Сидоровское прибыло для расквартирования отделение солдат-связистов из 12 человек. Возглавил команду старшина Перепелкин А.Г. Личный состав команды приступил к расчистке леса, рытью котлована под фундамент тех. здания. Так началась история города.

В 1952г городок стал пополняться новыми жителями, прибыли военнослужащие радиобатальона и учебной роты. Были установлены временные антенны, развёрнуты классы, начались занятия. Летом наряду с возведением технического здания и антенных полей началось строительство финских домиков, которые образовали первые улицы
