Основное событие Нового года – это, возможно, последняя «газовая в война» с неочевидными последствиями. По сути дела, наступает новая веха в истории Европы, не больше не меньше. Украинский транзит прекращается, что грозит политическим и экономическим кризисом в Молдове, а в перспективе и в Словакии, возможно и в других заинтересованных странах. Ибо главные достижения их правительств относительно низкие цены на энергоносители. Без газа они не останутся, но он будет дороже и не всем избирателям это понравится. При этом есть возможность развивать альтернативную энергетику, а можно прекратить играть на поводу у левых и вернуть энергетику атомную. Соответственно, Газпром продолжает терять самый прибыльный европейский газовый рынок, что естественно, отражается на стоимости и прибыли системообразующей российской компании. Естественно, Москва лишается знаменитых «газовых козырей» или «газовой дубины», как кому нравится. Зато теперь газовый козырь есть у Украины. Ушла очередная эпоха…

He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations.
