چهار نامزد مخالف نیز در انتخابات حضور داشتند اما همه آنها از حامیان لوکاشنکو هستند و از حکومت او تمجید کرده اند بسیاری از مخالفان واقعی رئیس جمهور یا در زندان هستند یا به دلیل سرکوب آزادی بیان و اعتراضات، مجبور به ترک کشور شده اند.
