«Азбуке вкуса» принадлежат 103 супермаркета под брендом «Азбука вкуса» и 59 мини-маркетов «Азбука daily» в Москве и Санкт-Петербурге, а также собственное кулинарное производство в этих городах. Руководитель департамента M&A в BGP Capital Иван Пешков говорит, что рыночная стоимость «Азбуки вкуса» находится в диапазоне от 25 млрд до 30 млрд руб. с учетом долга. Гендиректор «Infoline-аналитики» Михаил Бурмистров оценивает актив в 35−40 млрд руб. в зависимости от мультипликаторов, которые будут применены, и финансовых итогов 2024 года.
«Севергрупп» уже рассматривала возможность покупки «Азбуки вкуса» еще в 2019 году, когда приобретала «Ленту». О переговорах «Яндекса» с «Азбукой вкуса» стало известно в июне 2021 года, однако сделка не состоялась. Также среди претендентов на покупку ранее называли «Магнит» и Х5 Group.
