Российская фигуристка и уроженка Казани Камила Валиева выразила свою гордость за родной город в котором сейчас проходит саммит БРИКС, в своем телеграм-канале:
«Например, сейчас в Казани проходит Саммит БРИКС, на который специально приехали лидеры более 20 государств. Цифры, конечно, впечатляют, поэтому меня охватывает гордость за свой родной город. Поэтому, если вы еще ни разу не были в столице Татарстана, то самое время это исправить!» — написала она.

So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. WhatsApp, a rival messaging platform, introduced some measures to counter disinformation when Covid-19 was first sweeping the world.
