«Иволга 4.0», как и её предшественница, способна развивать скорость до 160 км/ч, сохраняя при этом плавность хода и производя минимальное количество шума. Вагоны оборудованы кондиционерами с функцией обеззараживания воздуха, информационными табло и мониторами, беспроводными и USB зарядками для мобильных устройств, велопарковками, где есть розетка для электросамоката, а также местами для маломобильных пассажиров и родителей с колясками.
