В областном суде выступили адвокаты убийц. Адвокат Шахрома Мирова, которого обвиняют в нанесении смертельного удара 17-летнему парню, заявил, что неверно квалифицировать дело по статье о групповом убийстве. Так как следствие не доказало, что обвиняемые вступали в сговор именно с этой целью.
Защита также считает, что следствие было необъективно и не расследовало действия группы русских парней, с которыми у мигрантов произошёл конфликт.
