Правда, сейчас слово «Международный» не такое широкое, как раньше, когда на турнир приезжали шахматисты Молдовы, Латвии, Эстонии, Израиля, Украины и ряда других государств. После санкций, которые ощущаются и в спорте, турнир стал межсобной борьбой шахматистов Беларуси и России.
На главный турнир «А», где подсчитывается рейтинг ФИДЕ (Международной шахматной федерации) заявлено 62 шахматиста. На турнир «В», в котором такого подсчета не будет, выступят 25 человек.
