Вечером 27 ноября в деревне Демешкино Островского района произошло возгорание частного дома, в котором находилась семья из трех человек. При пожаре погибли несовершеннолетние 2008 и 2021 года рождения. Мать детей в тяжелом состоянии госпитализирована.
Следственный комитет возбудил уголовное дело и совместно с сотрудниками МЧС провел осмотр места происшествия, чтобы изъять предметы и образцы веществ для пожарно-технической судебной экспертизы с целью установления причины и источника возгорания.

Ukrainian forces have since put up a strong resistance to the Russian troops amid the war that has left hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including children, dead, according to the United Nations. But on Friday, Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said there had been some “positive shifts” in talks between the two sides. Pavel Durov, Telegram's CEO, is known as "the Russian Mark Zuckerberg," for co-founding VKontakte, which is Russian for "in touch," a Facebook imitator that became the country's most popular social networking site. It is unclear who runs the account, although Russia's official Ministry of Foreign Affairs Twitter account promoted the Telegram channel on Saturday and claimed it was operated by "a group of experts & journalists." On Telegram’s website, it says that Pavel Durov “supports Telegram financially and ideologically while Nikolai (Duvov)’s input is technological.” Currently, the Telegram team is based in Dubai, having moved around from Berlin, London and Singapore after departing Russia. Meanwhile, the company which owns Telegram is registered in the British Virgin Islands.
