Польские СМИ сообщают, что уже несколько дней президент «посылает четкие сигналы» о том, что собирается наложить вето на поправку к закону о СМИ, предложенную «Правом и справедливостью». Недвусмысленно он намекал на это 15 августа: говоря об отношениях с США, Дуда заверил, что будет отстаивать «принцип свободы слова и свободы ведения бизнеса». И на это как раз посягает lex TVN. А во вторник, когда президента спросили о его отношении к lex TVN, он ответил, что поправка, с треском принятая Сеймом, была спорным решением.
Весьма вероятно, что lex TVN выбросят в мусорное ведро.

A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. "There are several million Russians who can lift their head up from propaganda and try to look for other sources, and I'd say that most look for it on Telegram," he said. That hurt tech stocks. For the past few weeks, the 10-year yield has traded between 1.72% and 2%, as traders moved into the bond for safety when Russia headlines were ugly—and out of it when headlines improved. Now, the yield is touching its pandemic-era high. If the yield breaks above that level, that could signal that it’s on a sustainable path higher. Higher long-dated bond yields make future profits less valuable—and many tech companies are valued on the basis of profits forecast for many years in the future. At its heart, Telegram is little more than a messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal. But it also offers open channels that enable a single user, or a group of users, to communicate with large numbers in a method similar to a Twitter account. This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse for Telegram and its users, since these channels can be used for both good and ill. Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion. The perpetrators use various names to carry out the investment scams. They may also impersonate or clone licensed capital market intermediaries by using the names, logos, credentials, websites and other details of the legitimate entities to promote the illegal schemes.
