Причиной уголовного преследования активиста стало сожжение чучела в камуфляже, с мешком на голове и надписью «Заберите» на льду Невы.
Антивоенный перфоманс Мальцев провёл совместно с Софьей Семёновой. Ранее суд назначил ей запрет определённых действий.
