Глава Минпромторга Денис Мантуров назвал S7 в числе потенциальных эксплуатантов, особо подчеркнув, что "Сибирь" планирует купить лайнеры типа.
Но авиакомпания поспешила опровергнуть заявление Мантурова.
"Переговоры по поставке воздушных судов данного типа не ведутся", - сообщили в пресс-службе S7.
Минпромторг явно выдал ожидания за реальность. Ему хотелось бы, чтобы новинка отечественного авиапрома заинтересовала крупнейшую частную авиакомпанию страны. Но пока МС-21 точно собираются взять "дочка" нацпера "Россия" и Red Wings, подконтрольная ГК "Ростех" (входящая в которую ОАК и создает лайнер).
S7 Group предпочитает проверенную технику. Поэтому для создаваемого лоукостера Citrus группа выбрала современные, но хорошо знакомые Airbus A320neo, а не проблемные Boeing 737 MAX.
МС-21, которые только приступят к регулярным рейсам в 2022 году, S7 Airlines тоже не планирует использовать. По крайней мере, в обозримом будущем.
