Повезли меня обратно – я заснул – просыпаюсь утром – что же? не отъехал я и пяти верст. Гора – лошади не взвезут – около меня человек 20 мужиков. Чёрт знает как бог помог – наконец взъехали мы, и я воротился в Симбирск. Дорого бы дал я, чтоб быть борзой собакой; уж этого зайца я бы отыскал.
