Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. Some privacy experts say Telegram is not secure enough After fleeing Russia, the brothers founded Telegram as a way to communicate outside the Kremlin's orbit. To lend credence and to lure unsuspecting victims, perpetrators usually claim that their entity and/or the investment schemes are approved by financial authorities. Russian President Vladimir Putin launched Russia's invasion of Ukraine in the early-morning hours of February 24, targeting several key cities with military strikes.
