A Random EFL Teacher Muses

Довольная как слон, не иначе! Хотя, наверное, вьючные слоны все же не очень довольны поклажей…

Но я слон особенный, а именно – любитель почитать. На фото я с уловом с nonfiction, книжной ярмарки, и в моем шоппере примерно 15 книг.

Прочитала я из них не так много, 3, наверное… А все почему? Потому, что мой интерес захватила серия фанфиков на 18 частей… (про фанфики можно тут послушать, если интересно).

А вообще этот пост – не похвастаться, если что. А поразглагольствовать.

В моем окружении очень много книгоманов, книголюбов, и даже – книгоманьяков. А вот в работе редко встречаю любителей читать.

Но я не отчаиваюсь, и на уроках пытаюсь привить любовь к чтению всем и вся. Стараюсь догнать и причинить добро, как говорится.

И, кажется, я даже вполне преуспела.

А как - я продемонстрирую в субботу 1 февраля в 11:00 на бесплатном вебинаре в рамках марафона "Методическая Пилорама". Нас ждет развенчание некоторых мифов, pre-/while-/post-reading activities на любой вкус и цвет.

As the war in Ukraine rages, the messaging app Telegram has emerged as the go-to place for unfiltered live war updates for both Ukrainian refugees and increasingly isolated Russians alike. The channel appears to be part of the broader information war that has developed following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin has paid Russian TikTok influencers to push propaganda, according to a Vice News investigation, while ProPublica found that fake Russian fact check videos had been viewed over a million times on Telegram. But Telegram says people want to keep their chat history when they get a new phone, and they like having a data backup that will sync their chats across multiple devices. And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website. "Like the bombing of the maternity ward in Mariupol," he said, "Even before it hits the news, you see the videos on the Telegram channels."
