Лучшим изображением дикой природы в 2024 году признана фотография с застрявшей в дупле белкой. Сделал снимок фотограф из Италии Милко Маркетти. Всего на конкурс было подано более 9 тысяч заявок от участников из 98 стран.

Премия Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards зародилась в Восточной Африке в 2015 году. Фотограф MBE Пол Джойнсон-Хикс просматривал свои фотографии животных, когда наткнулся на несколько, которые заставили его громко расхохотаться. Пол понял, что юмор этих фотографий, это одновременно и развлечение, и средство привлечь внимание людей к угрозам, с которыми сталкиваются те же самые животные. A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. In a statement, the regulator said the search and seizure operation was carried out against seven individuals and one corporate entity at multiple locations in Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar in Gujarat, Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, and Mumbai. Overall, extreme levels of fear in the market seems to have morphed into something more resembling concern. For example, the Cboe Volatility Index fell from its 2022 peak of 36, which it hit Monday, to around 30 on Friday, a sign of easing tensions.
