Она направлена на повышение автоматизации обслуживания городского рельсового транспорта с целью повышения надежности, безопасности и экономической эффективности его работы.
В частности, экосистема включает беспилотное движение трамваев на территории депо. Ее испытания с июля проходят в финском Тампере. Трамвай Smart Artic X34, оснащенный системами автоведения и обнаружения препятствий с камерами и лидарами, выполняет несколько различных сценариев в полностью автоматическом режиме. Оператор ставит трамваю задачу через приложение.
На выставке Skoda Group достигла по этим трамваям нового соглашения: перевозчик TRO дозаказал 11 секций для комплектации эксплуатируемой техники. Таким образом, 11 трамваев станут четырехсекционными, а их вместимость увеличится с 264 до 345 пассажиров. Базовые трамваи Smart Artic X34 в количестве 28 единиц были заказаны в 2017 и 2022 годах, сейчас эксплуатируется 21 машина.
