260 лет назад, 8 апреля (28 марта ст.ст.) 1764 года, родился Николай Петрович Резанов - русский аристократ, государственный деятель, путешественник, предприниматель, авантюрист (в хорошем смысле слова), мечтавший расширить границы Российской империи до берегов Калифорнии.
Резанов был одним из учредителей Российской Американской компании, участником первой русской кругосветной экспедиции, первым официальным послом России в Японии и составителем одного из первых русско-японских словарей. И, конечно, героем удивительной истории любви с дочерью коменданта крепости Сан-Франциско Кончитой.
