31 августа 2024 года в Кандалакше будет проведен забег Лахти (Lahti-Trail), маршрут которой проходит по уникальному историческому ландшафту, включающему в себя несколько древних поморских памятников истории Кандалакши на территории Мурманской области. Участникам предстоит покорять гору Крестовую, получившую свое название еще при поморах, после того, как на ней был установлен крест как символ установления христианской религии. Именно с высоты горы Крестовой участникам откроется потрясающая панорама на бухту Кандалакшского залива Белого моря. Основная же часть пути пролегает вдоль прибрежной полосы. В предстоящем сезоне будет представлен новый маршрут протяженностью 35 км с общим подъемом 1600 метров. На преодоление дистанции будет предоставлено 8 часов.
