Сегодня же ситуация накалилась ещё более в связи с выборами президента. Главу государства должен выбрать парламент, контроль над которым после выборов удерживает партия "Грузинская мечта" миллиардера Иванишвили.
И вот, буквально час назад, грузинский президент Зурабишвили заявляет, что не признает выборы и не покинет свой пост, так как не признаёт результаты последних парламентских выборов и, следовательно, полномочия депутатов на избрание президента.
Ситуация патовая. Ведь и текущее правительство западо- и НАТО-ориентированное, что ставит его в зависимость от признания результатов выборов со стороны Европы и США, которые ввели санкции против руководства страны за законы об иноагентах и традиционных ценностях.
