Мужчину задержали еще в декабре-2020, обвинили в попытках помешать железнодорожному движению. Вместе с Богданом, за это судили Владимира Ланкевича и Виктора Иванцова. В результате Иванцову присудили 2 года колонии, а Ланкевичу с Богданом — по три года колонии.
Ланкевич, которого задержали на три дня позже чем Сергея Богдана, освободили еще 22 августа 2023. Таким образом, можно предположить, что Богдан вышел на свободу около 19.08.2023
