После реорганизации министерства образования и молодежной политики Рязанской области комитету передадут ряд полномочий.
В том числе комитет будет участвовать в организации и проведении мероприятий в сфере молодежной политики Рязанской области, в также вести информационное обеспечение вопросов реализации молодежной политики и т.п.
Предполагается, что изменения вступят в силу с 9 января 2023 года.
