На самом деле, такое многообразие ассоциаций на довольно узком рынке – четкий сигнал, что у отрасли отсутствует понимание, как решать стоящие перед ней проблемы. И главный вопрос, способно ли какое-нибудь из существующих объединений не увлекаться конкуренцией, а сформировать подходы, которые станут общими для всей индустрии.

Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. WhatsApp, a rival messaging platform, introduced some measures to counter disinformation when Covid-19 was first sweeping the world.
